We have in the past facilitated a life-changing project by
completing a renovation of a Hospital infectious disease ward at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This is a life-changing project as it helps reduce the spread of infectious diseases. Our wish was to also facilitate the purchase of hospital beds for this particular ward but due to a shortage of resources, we couldn’t fulfil the desire.
We would like once again to thank the generosity of South Warwickshire Hospital NHS Trust for their donation of 20 hospital beds in December of 2020, a further 50 donated in March of 2021 and their time spent engaging with us to help fulfil our charitable goals.
The donation we received from South Warwickshire NHS Trust as expected will make a huge contribution to Mpilo and Filabusi Hospitals in Zimbabwe. We would like to raise £30,000 to cover shipping costs to the destination.
They may not look it in the photos, but each bed is incredibly heavy, and we're only able to stack two at a time without damaging them. This means we'll need to use 6 shipping containers at £6000 each to get the entire supply safely to Zimbabwe.
